Hypnosis for anxiety

March 4, 2022

I believe it was Thomas Paine who said at the time of the American Revolution who said, "These are the times that try men's souls".
Well even though we're not engaged in such a battle for independence today, our individual and collective well-being are regularly challenged as we make our way through this modern era, the 21st century. We need to become independent of the excessive noise inside our heads.
We are constantly bombarded by negative news, drama, and rapid technological changes that rattle human nature on a daily basis.
Anxiety and its chemical expressions of cortisol and adrenaline course through our brains and bodies as we fight, flee and freeze.
Hypnosis is a wonderful natural antidote to anxiety. As hypnosis allows the mind to enter what we know as a Theta state, the mind can remain more Zenful in the face of these 21st-century stressors. Hypnosis allows the endorphins to flow, and as a result, we can flow more easily through life.
The most common refrain that I hear from clients who have been hypnotized, is "I've never known relaxation like this". And that calmness tends to remain after a session.
If the subconscious mind is the "hard drive" of the computer we call our brains, then hypnosis "defrags" or clears the hard drive and leaves us with more serenity. The mind becomes less noisy.
