Hypnosis and Tibetan Singing Bowls

I was proud to create a new hypnosis program at Move2Wellness in Ridgefield, Connecticut last month. This first of a kind program uses the power of hypnosis for extra deep relaxation and then takes it to another deeper level with the magical resonance of Tibetan Singing Bowls.

Tibetan singing bowls have been used for centuries to induce a deep state of trance simply through their lingering vibrations after being gently struck. I hypnotized a group of people from Greenwich, Norwalk and Ridgefield.

Melissa Merendino, a very talented healer and expert on the bowls, worked her magic by playing various bowls, some of which are made from precious metals and others of quartz crystal. The sound that emanates from these is nothing less than amazing. You can actually feel the vibrations from these right in center of the body and the soothing tones draw the mind into a state of Theta, the key brainwave seen in hypnosis.

I came up with this idea after reflecting on certain phases of the hypnotic process. When a person is hypnotized, a period of silence can deepen the experience, so I thought that filling that wordless space with resonant singing bowls can touch the spirit profoundly, and it worked beautifully!

One attendee said that it was the most relaxed she had ever been in her life. The best part of this is that the effects last long after the session is over.
