Weight Loss: Help Your Subconscious Help You to Get Thinner!
View the Eyewitness News Video on the home page to see Andrea’s testimonial of how she lost four dress sizes with hypnosis. Almost two years later, she has kept the weight off.
Most people don’t do well with diets in the long run as their subconscious mind is always fighting the conscious mind in its efforts to keep them eating right. It’s the subconscious voice you hear inside when you are dieting that tells you to grab an extra slice of cake or pizza. Hypnosis quiets that voice so you can reach your weight goals easily and effortlessly.
Hypnosis is truly amazing for helping you get into the shape you desire. Hypnosis acts upon the appestat, the appetite control center in our brains that tell us when we are full and satisfied. The suggestion is given that less food is needed and clients are quite surprised as they push their plate away after only eating half. The pounds start disappearing and the thinner person soon emerges. I also include suggestions for healthier eating so that the body receives better nutrition.
Most clients have lost 40, 50, 60 or even more pounds, and they are all surprised with the ease of the process. The Westchester Hypnosis Center’s weight loss program is 5 sessions and on average takes about 4 or 5 weeks to complete.
The typical response from clients is summed up in the words of Martha, who had tried diet after diet and “yo-yo’d” too many times. “For me,” she says, “Hypnosis enabled me to stop struggling. I was quiet and centered inside about food, and when I sat down to eat after a session, I was able to walk away from the table after eating just half of what I usually ate, yet I felt completely full. Incredible! I will keep the weight off this time, because the struggle is gone.” Return to top of page.

Smoking Cessation: Hypnosis Can Help
The Eyewitness News Video on the home page will speak volumes on how Hypnosis can help you quit the dreadful killer habit of smoking. Listen to Rosemary’s words about how Hypnosis helped her quit a 53-year long, 2 pack-a-day addiction to cigarettes in just one session!
Hypnosis has helped millions to quit smoking easily and effortlessly. For many it’s like “throwing a switch” that turns the thoughts of smoking to the “off” position. Many people quit smoking and lose weight with hypnosis!
Recently the New York Times (November 4, 2008 Science Times section) ran a front page article by Chief Science Reporter Jane Brody about her how her husband kicked his decades long habit with hypnosis also in one session! He didn’t even think he was hypnotized, but he has not smoked since.
You owe it to yourself to use this effective approach. The very reasonable cost of a session will save you thousands of dollars and add years of healthy living to your life. Return to top of page.

Hypnosis Helps with Motivation
Having trouble reaching your goals? You are not alone; hypnosis can help! Whether it is about exercising, creating new business sales, or getting out and socializing more, hypnosis helps. Many have trouble getting started and moving toward their goals. Hypnosis can add the subconscious spark that tells you from within to get out of your own way and keep moving. You can use a number of self-empowerment techniques that hypnotically drive you to move forward.
One client, Rita, had a hard time taking care of her daily business. She lacked determination and her life was becoming chaotic and disorganized. A few of my motivational sessions have gotten her moving and she feels better about herself now. Her life is organized, she’s happier, and more energetic as she spends less time and energy berating herself for inaction.
After a session or two, you will feel like you are the NIKE slogan: “Just do it!” Return to top.

Hypnosis Helps with Fears and Phobias
Long-standing fears, like the fear of small or open spaces, the fear of bugs, the fear of heights, and many others can be dramatically softened by hypnosis. Through creative hypnotic visualization, one can see his or herself in a more empowered and fearless position when encountering these places or situations.
Hypnosis has helped many get over their paralyzing fears with this process. One client for example was so afraid of small spaces that she could not travel on a plane as she felt restricted by low ceilings. She now flies freely from coast to coast, where before hypnosis she was terrified.
Wanda D.: “I was mortified by the very idea of getting on a plane. I had this irrational fear that the plane would crash, but after a few sessions of hypnosis I now fly the “friendly skies” - FREQUENTLY! Hypnosis did for me what years of other therapies could not.” Return to top.

Unleash Your Self-Confidence!
Lacking self-confidence? We often carry with us wrong ideas about ourselves from childhood that need to be reconfigured. If you believe something about yourself from earlier in life (right or wrong), you are likely to incorporate that belief later on into your life. Sometimes we believe we are not good enough, not good looking enough, not rich enough, not smart enough, not worthy of better things, etc.
Perhaps an insecurity stems from a misperception that occurred during childhood. An old idea may have been absorbed by the child’s mind, when that child lacked the wisdom to understand a better way of framing that feeling or idea. Hypnosis can reframe this misconception by incorporating new perspectives into the adult mind, leaving you feeling empowered and strong with the knowledge that you are indeed good enough. You can then unleash your confidence, leading to motivation and emotional freedom. It is time for some new thinking!
Tina S.: “I always believed I wasn’t as smart as others. Hypnosis helped me remember when that thought first occurred. I vividly recalled my father kidding me that I had only received an A and not an A+ on a test and that left me feeling deflated when I had been hoping for his praise. As a child, I did not realize he was joking, but now with my adult mind absorbing the information that he indeed was joking and not putting me down, I feel smart and much more confident.” Return to top.

Hypnosis Helps with Nervous Habits
Biting your nails? Pulling your hair? Or is there some other nervous habit that you’d like to stop? Hypnosis can help. Hypnosis sends a different message to the conscious mind from the subconscious where habits reside. With a different, more relaxing message being sent you can stop these destructive behaviors easily. Hypnosis Helps with Anxiety
Hypnosis is the natural antidote to anxiety. Hypnotized people learn to enter a state of what is called “Theta”, which means that one’s brainwaves are moving smoothly and steadily, resulting in the subconscious chatterbox becoming much quieter. It is the voice inside that is often the verbalized conveyor of anxious feelings. When you are hypnotized you are much calmer and more in the present moment. Return to top.

Hypnosis Helps with Study, Concentration, and Memory Loss
Many people, even those who have attention challenged minds, are better able to stay on task after being hypnotized. Hypnosis can help with motivation to study by making it more fun and more interesting. It also opens the “pipeline” that enables memories to flow more freely in both directions from memorization and recall. People come to Westchester Hypnosis for a wide array of test taking issues for SATs, police exams, school tests, Bar exams, and many others. One young woman who recently came in for our Test Taking Program improved her SAT scores dramatically! Return to top.

Hypnosis Helps with Creative Blocks
Most creativity comes from the subconscious mind. This realm of inspiration is under the logical thinking mind from where the “AHA!” moments pop. Because hypnosis “tunes up” the subconscious, enabling it to flow freely and smoothly, brilliant thoughts can emerge more easily. Return to top.

Hypnosis Helps with Insomnia
“Theta” brain wave activity is the hypnogogic level we enter just before “Delta”, which is the state of deep soothing sleep. In hypnosis we can help you train your mind to slide into Delta sleep in a few sessions. Many clients report having their deepest sleep ever in hypnosis. Return to top.

Hypnosis Helps with Sports Performance
Some of the world’s best athletes use Hypnosis to improve their performance. Sports performance is largely about powerful mental relaxation and visualization. Golfers like Tiger Woods know of the deep benefits that hypnosis provides. We have helped marathon runners, gymnasts, baseball players, tennis players, golfers, and even pool players change their games for substantial improvement. One golfer recently told me that he took ten strokes off his game after his session with the Westchester Hypnosis Center. You read it right - TEN STROKES! Another straight pool player won a state championship after his three session program. Return to top.
